Heritage Trail in Skåbu with historical landmarks and nature experiences

The Skåbu Vinstrafossen Heritage Trail is ready to be explored!Starting at Slangen and heading towards Vinstrafossen, this is one of the finest walking trails in the village, now even better thanks to the efforts of the local heritage group. They have done a tremendous job upgrading the trail and installing new signs that tell the stories along the way: the history of the charcoal kiln, the iron extraction that left its mark on the landscape, and the story of Utslåtten, where winter fodder was gathered for the animals.
