Summer
Summer is the perfect season to experience the great outdoors in Skåbu. Explore the mountains on foot or by bike, try your luck fishing, or join local events that bring together visitors and the local community. With long, bright days, you'll have plenty of time to enjoy everything the mountains have to offer.
The Horse Release
The Skåbu Mountain Marathon will be held for the 11th time!
Skåbu Mountain Marathon takes place in Jotunheimen's front yard with spectacular scenery and ultimate running conditions. You can choose between full and half marathons, 8.5 km, children's races and the Ultraløpet Jotunheimvegen Ultra.

Autumn

Butchering course
Learn how to butcher and make full use of a whole lamb in true Skåbu style. Gain insight into cutting the meat, making stock from the bones, and how the entire animal is processed and further refined in our own production facility.
