The Skåbu Mountain Marathon will be held for the 11th time, Saturday 22 August 2025
The Skåbu Mountain Marathon takes place in Jotunheimen's front garden with spectacular scenery and the ultimate running conditions. You can choose between full and half marathons, a 7.5 km race, children's races, and the Ultraløpet Jotunheimvegen Ultra.

From 21 to 23 August 2026, we invite you to the 11th edition of the Skåbu Mountain Marathon – the year's most beautiful running adventure in the heart of Jotunheimen.
The starting and finish line are in the centre of Skåbu. From Skåbu Fjellhotell you can see both the start and finish from the restaurant and fireplace lounge. Whether you are a participant or a spectator, Skåbu Fjellhotell provides the perfect setting for a memorable weekend.
On Friday 21 August, a pre race-dinner will be served at Skåbu Fjellhotell.
The package includes two nights in our cosy rooms, a nutritous, energy-packed 2-course pre-race dinner on Friday and a well-deserved 3-course dinner on Saturday.
