Hiking to Helvete

Northern Europe's largest potholes were formed at the end of the last Ice Age. At that time, a large glacial river flowed down Gausdal and into Mjøsa lake, 8 kilomtres south of Lillehammer. The river dug out the gully and formed the potholes

The hikes takes approx. 3-4 hours including a short break where you can enjoy home-baked goods and hot drinks.
We recommend wearing good hiking boots and clothes that are suitable to the weather.

Level of difficulty: medium, with occasional steep sections.
The hike is recommended for all ages.
